The Friends of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra announces Classical Notes: A Taste of Europe A Special Event at Sovereign Estate Winery and Vineyard
This very special evening at the award-winning Sovereign Estate Winery will feature an ensemble of musicians from the SPCO performing in advance of the orchestra’s upcoming European tour. Guests will have the opportunity to sample wine and hors d'oeuvres pairings reflecting the countries the SPCO will visit, along with delicious desserts, coffee, and tea following the performance.
About the SCPO: Renowned for its artistic excellence, remarkable versatility of musical styles and adventurous programming, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. Now entering its 58th season, the SPCO has undergone transformational change with the opening of its new home, the Ordway Concert Hall, and the addition of a new generation of players. The virtuoso musicians of the SPCO present more than 130 concerts and educational programs each year, and are regularly heard on public radio programs which reach more than 2 million listeners each week on over 300 stations.
About Friends of the SCPO: The Friends of the SPCO is a volunteer organization that has been committed to supporting The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra through educational, social and fund-raising activities for over 30 years.
