Planning Your Vegetable Garden Workshop

Whether you are new to vegetable gardening or an experienced gardener, this workshop is for
you! You will learn the essential topics when starting a new vegetable garden or improve your
established garden with helpful tips from a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener. You will expand your knowledge of techniques to get the most from your garden, including soil health, crop rotation, succession planting, companion planting, and ways to extend the growing season. As a group, we will explore how to understand the information provided in seed catalogs and seed packets to help select varieties that best suit your needs. The instructor will offer tips on specific vegetable varieties that are particularly well suited to our area.
